about.

Born in Upstate New York, Duncan's fascination with photography began at an early age, albeit in an unconventional way. Before the age of five, he often found his mother’s film camera and played with it. However, instead of taking photos, he would open the back compartment, pull out the film, and wear it like a fashionable scarf, unintentionally exposing and ruining his mother's precious images.

By the age of seven, Duncan realized that camera film wasn't meant to be worn and began to learn how to properly use a camera. Starting with a simple point-and-shoot, his passion for photography grew. At sixteen, he took his first photography class in high school, marking the beginning of his deep love for the craft. Working consistently throughout his adolescence and college years, Duncan started freelancing in 2014, building a successful business and forming strong relationships in the Capital District of New York, the greater Burlington, VT area, Boston, and Southern Maine.

In 2019, Duncan graduated from Champlain College in Burlington, VT, with a Bachelor of Science in Communication, Media Production, and Public Relations. During his time at Champlain, he was actively involved in the college community, serving as a Peer Advisor, Resident Assistant, Student Ambassador, and Orientation Leader, all while maintaining a cumulative GPA of 3.61. Duncan's love for Vermont, its autumn foliage, Rookie’s Root Beer, and maple creemees made leaving his home of four years by Lake Champlain a heartfelt farewell.

Since graduating in 2019, Duncan has held various professional roles, including Staff Photographer for JCDecaux North America in Boston and News Photographer at WRGB CBS 6 News. Currently, he works as a Photographer & Social Media Specialist for the University of Maine at Augusta and is pursuing a Master of Arts at the University of Maine (Orono).
